Noosa Ocean
Kayak Tours was established 7 years ago. It started
when the founder would surf the waves in the national
park looking back at the incredible foreshore. There
needed to be a way that anybody could witness this
site - surfer or not. The company was born 1 week
later.
We
meet everybody every day at the Info Centre at 910am or
140 pm.
Normally you
can't separate Merrick from his beloved surfboard.
But if he does let go of it, it's usually to pick
up his other favourite water toy, the sea
kayak.
It's
no wonder former Australian surfing champion Merrick
Davis lives and works at Noosa.
Not only is it the most magical of places on the east
coast of Queensland, but for a lover of water sports
it's got the best conditions.
And it's this association with the water that helped
Merrick become the two times Australian professional
surfing champ and three times runner up.
The
trips can be taken either around the waterways of
Noosa River or if you're like me and you like it rough,
you can challenge the waves off Noosa Beach! The kayaks
nowadays are really quite inexpensive and the kayaks
that we actually use you can actually ride waves on.
You can use
them multipurpose for river, for ocean, so they're
just a fantastic leisure craft to use in the water,
still water or open water.
Sea

ages and no previous experience is required.

The marine life that inhabits this bay is nothing short of amazing. A regular playground for pods of dolphins make the Ocean Kayak Tour one of our favorites. When you are able to sit and watch dozens of these beautiful mammals feed and play only meters from your kayak you will agree.
The best thing about these tours is that it is low impact on the environment but doesn't mean excitement is lacking. We are able to surf the waves in the park if you wish or just leisurely paddle to the secluded beaches for a swim.
Noosa is located just ninety minutes north of Brisbane airport or a direct flight into Maroochydore will leave you only twenty minutes away.
