Noosa learn to surf is a proud to be part of the family stop here group. We welcome families and want everyone to know we are family friendly.

If you live any where near the ocean, even if you don't surf, teach your kids to surf. Get them while they are young, and continue to encourage them as they grow older. It's a wonderful sport that brings enjoyment to all who do it. All children are required to be able to swim 25 metres.

Every school holiday Noosa Learn To Surf With A World champion have provided a specially structured series of surfing lesson for kids. Using waist deep water children as young as seven have shown the oldies how to ride a surf board.

Merrick and Brielle surf together as family!(Brielle 4 years old on this photo).

If four year olds can do it, anyone can do it !

The classes are set so that each age group is assigned their own male or female coach who watches over and encourages them using confidence skills and gentle reassurance. Staring out slow and in safe small already broken wave younsters are taught how to steer their boards out of danger ,how to recognise rips and currents and take a land position as a base. Standing up is next and drills are taught on the beach sand.
One, three and five day Gift certifcates are a wonderful present for your partner, loved one or kids on holiday, a present they will treasure always - the ability to surf! See our gift page !

On the second day the group learns about the oceans ebb and flow and how the water moves in circle patterns around the surfing lineup. Daily safety drills like practising dismounts combine to produce a fun informative yet safe surfing environment. Contolling the board is our water skill for day two.

Brielle is 5 years old and she can ride a wave!

The third day is spent honing new found surfing skills in the water. Cutting across the wave,"rail grabs"and peace signs are the order of the day. Today our coach teaches everyone how to think while surfing. Especially how peripheral vision can improve your general safety both in and out of the water.

The fourth day is a revision of all the key surfing elements. Then we introduce a surfing competition to see who can ride all the way to the beach. Longest ride wins a prize !

It's easy and it's Great Fun !

Day five is the day the kids show their first time grown up counterparts how to stand, ride and look cool at the same time. they teach the new people how to stand and paddle effectively. They go through a question and answer quiz explaining where the safe spots are and where the dangerous areas could or might be. Finally the kids head out and free surf under the watchful gaze of their coach as they display to mum and dad their new found prowess.

Parents relax this holiday. A great confidence booster this summer. Give your children the opportunity to learn to surf.
