Stance
Kelly Slater Six Times World Champion, believes
that your surfing stance is the most important part of surfing.
Crouch low as often as you can, point to where you wish the board
to go and rotate you hip around as you stand up.
This begins the process of turning. You can carve turn simply
by crouching and rotating your hip into the direction you wish
to take.
Cutting across the wave face requires steering the board with
your hands then pointing to where you wish the board to go.
Staying low allows all this to happen smoothly with speed and
stability.
All this can be learned in an intermediate
lesson with Merrick up in Noosa (Mobile 0418787577.)
Now its time to try all these activities, in the water, good luck
and great surfing. |
